There is no A.C. The room was not clean when we arrived. Bugs everywhere. But it is cheap and in a quiet area. Free parking. It's hard to fall asleep before 10 since it stays hot for so long.
As many of the reviews state the hotel lacks air conditioning. This wouldn't be an issue if the screens didn't have holes and the fan had a higher speed than slow. The headboard on the bed was very uncomfortable, and with only two pillows we couldn't get comfortable to sit in bed at night. The room was clean, but we had to fight off the bugs each night as they would make their way in throughout the day. Location isn't bad, about 15 min from Hilo. Nice and quiet area and the outside area is nice to watch the sunset. If the bed and air was fixed it would be a decent hotel but between those it made our stay sorta miserable.
worse rental to date!! Bees everywhere, no air conditioning, poor customer service, loud renters all night, scratchy towels, dirty, dingy, no plates, cups, wine openers, had to open a beer with a fork, the microwave didn't work in the penthouse, no fans to keep cool, couldn't open windows for the bugs would come through. I asked for a refund, ha. We only stayed one night and left the first thing the next morning, sheets were worn thin, pillows were so very old and worn, beds were old water beds converted with a mattress. No reply to my texts that we were unhappy, dont fall for the pictures on the internet. We stay in Hawaii often, we were on the big island for over a month, and this place was awful, needs cleaning, supplies and better management. What a shame it at one time must of been a great home. DONT GO HERE, they will take your money and run
We had a great time here. The view is o e of the best on the Island. We will book this place again. Recommend for the entire family.
If you want space and seclusion and feeling like the rich and famous for a CHEAP price. Wow.
